So what cars should you have never sold?

I am probably a bit young for this thread as I still have the cars I have ever had but post up what cars you should have never got rid of, including pictures if you have them. I have a feeling Lukes list might be longer than others....

Not anything special and I didnt really sell it, but, a mk IV Escort Eclipse. Bought for £50. Oil changes were every time the light came on. Would do J-Turns and handbrake turns at the drop of a hat, survived a misunderstanding with an HGV over a piece of tarmac and eventually met its unfortunate demise at the hands of a Peugeot 107. This picture doesn't do justice to the fog lights held on with electical tape. It does however do justice to the way it was usually parked/abandoned. I miss that car. Rust in Peace Scrote. Rust In Peace.

My 1950 Opel Olympia, 53 Opel Kapitan (yank style), Taunus 17M. All owned at some time in the 60's.

1959 VW Karman Beetle, 1953 Beetle, (a well sorted and souped up beast}

not mine but family and not sure of the mark, still had the starter on the floor, Mothers Austin Mini. and my 1975 525 BMW E12

If I didn't know better I'd say that was my car

For a brief period, we got a sweet beetle cheap from an old fella. We flipped it to make money to help fund for a new interior for the Splitty.

However, for the minute price we payed for the bug, for the condition and history. I wish we kept it.

1 previous owner, sold by the very garage my dad worked at for a long time, In dover. Still had the soap washer stuff in the glove box, the garages plaque on the dash. Rolling Eyes sold it to a young girl who wanted to paint over the OG paint.. with purple ....

Unfortunetly I still own virtually everything I have bought and most cars I have sold on were either beyond salvation or I had no love for.

However I went through a stage, when my insurance became affordable, of buying a selling a few 80's Saab 900's with a view to turning a quick profit. I do regret the sale of a low mileage 1 owner F reg 900i 16v with T+T which was badly listed on ebay by a saab dealership in crawley and I won for £50. It was virtually spotless but I sold it on. Its only crime...it had too many doors! Wish id kept it now.

The one car I really miss was a C reg 900 16v turbo. It had lunar mileage and was rotten as a pear but it had a sought after gearbox with unusual ratios and it was quick. No other turbo I have driven has had such aggressive torque steer or accelerated as quick. It was a lot of fun but with 278k on the clock I bottled it and sold it on before it broke Sad

Wow some great cars popping up!

We need more pics and stories! Might make this a piece for the newsletter in the winter months!!
