And we thought the type 2 at JD's undergoing £500,000 restoration was crazy.

Mind you that owner is Austrian.

Seen this one before ages ago. There are some crazy VW Rescues will try and find the thread where they actually dig one out of the ground.

Look through the build thread, its back on the road now and driving all over Europe.

And the reason why?? Its 1952 VW Splitscreen, VERY EARLY, VERY RARE, VERY VERY DESIRABLE!! Bit rusty though.

I think the climate had been a little kinder to this one, although the underside still looked bad. I bet Mark would have liked those rear quarters!
