It was seeing them together on another forum, one member in Norfolk and the other in New Zealand, that made me realise how much the same but different they are, even the dashboards are the same but different.

Always state the obvious, even if it's wrong Twisted Evil

Like a lot of cars I suppose, you see the same cars day in day out, but line two together, but a few years apart in production, and you see the difference.

1936 fast back

coachbuilder dates back to 1760

Did wonder whether this one might beat you, Roger, but I should have known better.

It's currently undergoing maintenance at a specialist dealer in Essex. I had a tour of their workshops on Saturday when I went with my brother to view a 1952 Silver Dawn (the more attractive short boot model), which he bought.

Is the dealer near Earls Colne and Coggershall.

If it is were I am thinking of this is from one of there 'Barns' some years ago.

They used to be in Brentwood in the 70's not sure when they moved.

Woods, near Dunmow. Amazing range of cars, both in the workshops and the showroom, from Ghosts (several) to the latest Rolls badged BMW.
