my Alpine as i bought it last year. I owned this Renault 16 10 years ago and managed to get the old girl back this year, very solid where it matters, not been ran since 2001 but now runs sweet. The Standard 8 came my way last year, its very solid underneath but needs attention to the top body i.e doors bootlid, bonnet and a passenger side sill. My plan is to hot rod it, time will tell.

Thanks glad you like them, the standard has a 950cc gold engine at the moment. The spitfire wheels were taken off and replaced with a set of alloys and spacers, gives it a good stance, the dash is from a pennant. I have toyed with locating a Dolomite 1500 lump as they go in without too much modification. As for the colour i did think satin black and flames, although i have seen a very nice metallic blue that would make it pop Cool

Great pics Pete, I use to work with a guy who had a Renault 16, lovely motor really smooth.
Alpine seems very clean Cool

Hi pete, I like the Alpine and it sounds like you have some good plans for that standard 8 would look good with flames in satin black. I think you should definately put the bigger engine in it, would make it more beefy!
