PostSubject: Lucky little git!!   Mon Apr 18, 2011 2:12 am

I am now the proud owner of a 1971 mini clubman with only 2 owners from new and has only covered 18,00 miles from new!! It will be on the road soon as it only needs recommissioning after being parked in a garage since 1999, it is in glacier white with bright red geranium interior which is totally mint, it has never been restored and because of this I am going to show it "as is"!!
On the opposite end of the scale, I am also the proud owner of a jaguar 420G (mk10)!! It is a project but hopefully not to long term!! It has an interesting history in that it was sold new to the boss of senkei bearings and was then an ambassorders car in London. It is dark green with tan leather and has the 4.2 with triple carbs!

Thanks Lee!! Where do i Start?? The mini is now ready for an Mot next week and is now a lot cleaner than when the pics were taken!! It is a very original car having had no modifications and even still sits on crossplys!! It is 2 owners from new, the last since 1978, fom which it has only covered les than 8,000miles!!! I have the original bill of sale, bill of sale from 1st to 2nd owner, original passport to service book and all mots going back to 1978!! The jag now has it's door back on thanks Lee!!, in the pics it looks a mess but but on closer inspection is is a very vert solid car not requiring any welding underneath at all!! As we speak, the engine has unfortunately got a standing seize, which I suppose is to be expected as it had been "resting" for 25 or more years!!! As we speak the bores are soaking in red diesel to try and free it off!! I am chuffed to bits with it, and as soon as I can get it in my garage ( very tight, but it does fit!!) I will crack on with bringing this beauty back to life!!!

I can see it now.

Turning up at the start of a cruise in the Jag, dropping a couple of ramp out of the boot, driving the mini down the ramps and doing the cruise in the mini Cool Cool
