De-sealed, de-guttered, I'd say it's a bit of a mk1 custom job. The lights rant really my taste but as light conversions go, they look better than the new mini headlights in a classic mini! The lights on this look like ford units!

I quite like the lights, wasn't sure about the roof though.

I did wonder if it might have been a W&P. The lights are the only bit I'm not a fan of

I did one similar years back not with the headlights though, the worst problem was deseaming the gutters after that could not stop water coming in through the doors and rear quarterlights, so if you deseam do not remove the gutters I know they look better but if you do only take it out in the dry, I also reduced the roof line late by a few inches to make it a minisprint, hiho when we were young.

The mini in the pic looks to me like a Stewart and Arden minisprint. Not only did they chop the roof height, but also the body was sectioned and some height taken out of that too!! Clever stuff!!!! Worth a lot of money now!!! The only panel on the whole cars body that wasn't modified was the roof skin!!!!!

It's not a w&p!!! They were based around a standard height mini shell!! You can still buy minisprint shells but in fibreglass. The improvements to the cars by doing what they did were reputed to be vast, lighter, lower centre of gravity etc etc

Just the wheels are worth a fortune!!! Magnesium rose petal minilites!!!! Lots of money, I'd guess if you found a set about £1500 at least!!!

I stand corrected , it is indeed a minisprint . It`s owned by a chap called Steve Burkinshaw and he took it to Beaulieu this year ( I took loads of pics and got them mixed up with some W & P margrave pics and some other stuff )I bow my head in shame !
