Well it has to go, I simply have too many cars on the go and need to liberate some funds to keep the others alive!

I am selling my cherry red 1984 Saab 99GL. It has a 2L (1985cc) 8v engine has done approx 119k . I bought this earlier this year as, being renowned for owning Saab 900's, it found its way to me! I hadnt owned a 99 so bought it to see how I got on with it. It is a very reliable car and has been a stand in car for me, my mum and lately my brother wo has been driving it as his daily. Now its not needed and I cant really justify keeping it!

Body is in very good shape for its age and as the pictures hopefully show it shines up nicely. Only imperfections are 2 small scabs and the drivers door has some crazing where an old repair has been done. I have a good tan door as a replacement for this for the new owner.

Interior is tan velour and is not too bad. Have replaced the drivers seat with a new one so that is tidy. Dash is very good with no cracks. Headlining is missing material like every old saab but easily recovered.

Engine is good and as stated very reliable. Power is as it should be and it starts on the button. Timing chain is a bit noisey when hot but certainly nothing to worry about for a long time.

Car has low T+T so I will put 12 months MOT and 6 Months tax on it for the buyer!

It currently also has a set of sought after Saab gm alloys which are a minilite style and quite rare. Will come with the original steel wheels as well and a pile of spares.

These cars are now getting a real fan base. The Jan 2012 issue of retro cars has one as the cover car and a further 2 cars featured inside. They are still unusual enough to stand out though and it would make a great starter classic.

Alternativley because the shell is very good it would make a great donor for a 900 Turbo engine swap allowing 200bhp+ and it drops straight in!

Ideally I would like £850 for it but I am open to sensible offers.
